Now, the trainer discussed with us about the navel chakra and its functions. As clearly evident from the name, the location of the navel chakra is our navel. It was more so easy for us to guess because we had already taken a deep plunge into the topic. The navel chakra is composed of eight petals. It distributes pranas to the meridians. Meridians? It felt like as if after a long time we had heard a new word in this session. All of us at once asked the trainer – “what are these?”
Our trainer with his quintessential smile explained the meaning of meridians. He said that meridians are nothing but the inconspicuous channels which help energy flow across the different parts of our body. We all nodded in agreement as if we were already aware about the meaning of this new sounding word.
The trainer picked the topic from where he had left and said that small and large intestines and appendix are influenced and energized by the navel chakra. He also told us that navel chakra influences our general energy level and capacity to give birth. Hence, if anybody is facing problems like constipation, low vitality, appendicitis, or loose motions, it means that his or her navel chakra is not functioning properly. In fact, those who face problems related to giving birth or intestines are also suffering from the malfunctioning of this chakra.
With this last point, the discussion on navel chakra also ended and we started thinking which chakra would be discussed next.
