Basic Pranic Healing Techniques - Day 23

After writing the last post, I realized that I didn’t mention enough about the basic pranic healing techniques that are used in the treatment. As you know by now, scanning, cleansing, and energizing are the three integral stages of healing.

While cleansing, the healer takes resort to two techniques such as general sweeping, and localized sweeping. General sweeping is done to cleanse energy body of the patient from front and back, starting from head to toe. For this, palms should be folded into a cup shape and moved top to bottom across the body from the distance of about one foot or so. It can be applied in the set of ten strokes, five in the back and five in the front part of the body.

While sweeping patient’s body using this technique, you need to visualize or think that diseased energy is being removed from his or her body. After each three sweeps, you need to flip your hand over a bowl of salted water and clean your arms also and flip it over the bowl imagining or thinking that the bad energy which you just cleansed from patient’s body is thrown into the water. General sweeping not only cleanses but also energizes the patient’s body. Hence, it is also considered very effective.

Localized sweeping, on the other hand, is applied on a particular chakra or organ of the patient’s body to cleanse it. Other steps of this technique are the same as general sweeping.

Our trainer said all the three stages scanning, cleansing and energizing are important. But of these three, the first two are the most crucial ones. If you scan and cleanse patient’s body well, the patient will recover faster.
